Our inspiration shoot brings a sophisticated and updated approach to traditional elements you would expect from a Chinese or Vietnamese wedding. We used orange, peach, mauve and pinks instead of the traditional red for a modern and romantic look. We also used gold for a 'lucky' feel in the stationery, embroidery and cake.
The Chinese double happiness symbol, geometric ceremony backdrop, paper lanterns orbs and arch cake added a dynamic yet cohesive feel with the unique shapes and lines. The hand-painted fan cookies, personalised napkins and lanterns add a sweet nod to Asian elements that we know and love.
We had two wonderful outfits supplied by Love Spell Design. First was a 3D floral appliqué wedding dress with an embroidered bodice, perfect for the tea ceremony. Julie, our hair and makeup artist, created a soft and delicate makeup look and soft waves. For the second dinner party look, we chose an Ivy jumpsuit. Creating an alternative, modern yet feminine look. The sleek ponytail added a fun, and sophisticated vibe.
